Hi i have an old neckless and clip earring i got from my grandmother she had it for about 60 years, i have recently been looking into the stone to see if if had healing properties. From what i can see it looks like mystic topaz or mystic quartz but looking into these stones they were not created til the 1990s the stone is very dark green sometimes purple with kinda a metallic glaze to it,its set in real gold and looks to be melted on the back very antique. The stone itself is coated on the back with silver seems to give it a darker look. It also has diamonds all mixed in but they are white with no color and have never lost its shine. I was told my grandfather gave it to my grandma to get her to recincile the relationship and that is what gave me the impression it was some type of alexandrite. I see everyones concern with fake alexandrite so i was wondering if thats what it is please let me know of other stones these colors that i can reseach, thank you

How have you determined the jewels are made of gold?
Is there a stamping?

Your description makes them sound like costume jewelry.
Would it be possible for you to take a picture, front and back and post it?

I tried to post it when i wrote this but it did not upload for some reason. I would think after 60ish years costume jewelry would have tarnished or faded the gold is still as bright today as it was 20 years ago the first time i put it on and the stones just as shiny I will try to post again i hope im doing it right.
