Does anybody know if there are other methods other than Quench crackling that unscrupulous dealers are doing to add natural looking inclusions to synthetics?
I have seen the kinds of honey comb pattern type inclusions that are used by torching the synthetic cut stone for a few minutes and then immersing it into cold water and then subjecting the stone to further heat and borax as a flux that imitates the mong hsu rubies but I have also heard that there are possibly other methods used to give much more natural looking inclusions that are used to fake the Emerald and sapphire looking kinds that dont have the honey comb pattern look.
What are the ways to be able to identify added inclusions to prevent from getting ripped off by these people?

if we're talking about flame fusion quench cracked, curved striae are very often still visible, flux relics can be identified with darkfield and/or immersion, they're solid and yellowish...........

-synthetic corundum with an asterism obtained through diffusion/heating

-quench crackled synthetic (dirt, oxydes or dyes might be added in the obtained fissures to make it look more natural, or to improve color)

-lightened curved striae in an annealed synthetic

-doublet synthetic/natural (the natural part may feature natural inclusions)

-synthetic cut or polished to mimic a natural rough crystal or an alluvial rough pebble

-let's also mention artificial dendritic inclusions added in porous material such as natural chalcedony (electrochemically grown, or grown my metal displacement or other chemical reaction involving precipitation of metallic salts)

-at last, artificial glass may feature devitrification figures, and keep in mind that lot of stuff could be added in fused glass
