Orrery

Happy holidays :D

I built an orrery for a christmas present, and I thought you people might enjoy the sight.

The images will size down after a few seconds.

The planets can be manually rotated all around the sun, which can be lit (there's a light bulb inside of it). I built this orrery from lamp parts, clockwork pieces, and Fimo clay was used for the planets.

thank you :D
It has been a lot of work but I'm quite proud of the design and realisation, and my brother was very happy with his surprise gift

Here is another homemade orrery someone posted on the internet which is one big step beyond in terms of engineering http://zeamon.com/wordpress/?p=670
