I love garnets too!!! This gem family offers so many varieties to us! The red that can rival rubies, and the green that can rival emeralds, and even the sparkles that are comparable to that of diamonds!

Very nice...Especially the rough which has not been tumbled in nature...

I understand the fascination with Garnets but prefer the rough over the cut gem...Sometimes I buy a parcel of small rough just to own it in it's natural beauty...Use to be that 1/2 gram size rough Garnet here in Thailand was so cheap it was almost given away...Tsavorite/Spessartite and others for about $0.05/gram....Lately I don't see it very much...Maybe I should look again??
