Hello everyone, my name is Richard and I'm from London.

I thought it would be a good idea to post a brief message to hopefully enhance my determined efforts to obtain a position in the diamond industry in the varied disciplines of broking, grading, trading, sorting and sales.

I have worked in sales since the age of 18 and have proved to be a successful and valued asset for the companies that I have worked for.

I have recently completed my Graduate Diamonds Diploma at the GIA and I am chomping at the bit to get involved with my next exciting challenge in the diamond world.

I thought that obtaining the GIA diploma would be the 'passport' to landing a role at a brokerage or wholesaler but it doesn't seem that way based on the feedback I've received :(

I am seeking a junior role at a brokerage/wholesaler/manufacturer or grading lab. I am willing to relocate and work absolutely anywhere in the world.

I am a mature, confident and energetic 22 year old and if anyone knows of any vacancies/work experience/internships anywhere in the world which may be of interest/ or if anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate reading them!

Thank you for reading this brief message and if anybody has any ideas then please let me know!

Hi Daniel,

My GIA diploma was tailored towards polished, but I am keen to learn about rough too!

Do you specialize in polished or rough?

Thanks,

Richard
