Sometimes in man made glass you can find a specific inclusion which is a grain of solid unmelted silica, very often trapped in swirls of the melted glass. We have a name in french to identify this inclusion : "oeil du verrier" (glassworker's eye). I would like to know if there exists such an expression or another word in english for this special inclusion ? Thank you !

Hi ,
No result at all after having researched But .... I would not be surprised that there is no special english word for that ; each language has its own words and images , which are resulting from the particular perception of a cultural personage ... an english verrier don't apprehend its work like a french verrier . seems to me ...
