Hi all,
I would like to inform you that we just put online a new study on GIA Lab Bangkok on-going research page:
Today this is an update about the current research on Beryllium treated blue sapphires by Garry DuToit, Jitlapit Thananchakapad and Ken Scarratt.
http://www.giathai.net/lab.php
It is a very informative study with some very interesting results that I hope you will find interesting.
All the best,
Beryllium Treated Blue Sapphires

Re: Beryllium Treated Blue Sapphires
Dear all,
For those willing to get a bit more on blue sapphires and beryllium, I would like to invite you to read the article "Blue Sapphires and Beryllium, an Unfinished World Quest".
It is now available online on the ICA website in the summer 2013 issue of InColor Magazine (page 36 to 43):
http://www.gemstone.org
That article will take you from Madagascar to Afghanistan and finally Tasmania. You will understand the meaning of one of my favorite sentence: "Expect the unexpected"!
Enjoy it at:
