Journal of Gemmology paper on the infrared of Mong Hsu ruby

Post by Christopher P. Smith »

Hello all,

In previous messages I have made reference to an article I did a number of years ago on the infrared spectra of Mong Hsu rubies. A few of my friends have reminded me that although I suggested looking this article up, I have not posted it to ease access to it..... So here it is. If anyone has any further comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact me.

Best regards,
Chris Smith

I don't believe any of the article is on page 330. If you read the last sentence on page 229, you'll see it continues on page 331. Of course, if I'm wrong, I'd like to have page 330 as well 8) .

Hello Barbara,

thank you for your fast reply! But I have really a reasonable suspicion there is more between page 329 and page 331.
Page 329 ends >>............and present in higher concentration when associated with the densest cloud formations reaching the surface, while more sparse when the clouds were less dense.<<
Page 331 starts with >>at pressure and temperatures within the diaspore stability field.<<
There is a dot at the end of page 329 and the continuation on page 331 doesn´t make sense, or I make an error in reasoning. Please, make a look at the document, only you can decide if I am wrong or right.

My apologies  , you are correct. I somehow missed the period at the end of the sentence on page 329. Okay, we need page 330  .

And, the online editions Journal of Gemology only go back to 2002.
