GEM PHOTOGRAPHY
Hey, anyone one has any info about the techniques for photographing gemstones?Anything like what kind of light to use, the light boxes, camera seetings etc. etc.

You have verygood photographs, can you please tell me the method of the photography as i need to use it on a project and submit in my institute.

Here is a super tutorial here on the forums by Gary Braun of Finewater Gems. Short, too the point and effective. This will get you started. Of course there is always Scovil's "Photographing Minerals, Fossils, and Lapidary Materials"....

Yes please Star ruby , what lighting do you use for your Ruby photographs, Im finding the ruby the most difficult gem to get the colour and light return correct for .
