We are grateful for MAGIs support of the Scandinavian Gem Symposium 2016, propably the most important gemmological event ever in Scandinavia!
The list of speakers include John Koivula, Thomas Hainschwang, Peter Lyckberg, Peters Brangulis, Conny Forsberg and myself. John Koivulas presentation is titeled "Crystalline Showcases", Hainschwang is one of the worlds greatest experts in synthetic and treated diamonds, Peters Brangulis will give a talk on how the Assay office in Latvia practically works as there are regulations concerning the testing of gemstones over a certain value. Peter Lyckberg is one of our greatest experts on gem bearing pegmatites. Conny Forsberg will give a talk on the cutting of gemstones, why so many stones gets apparently bad cuts and how and when to decide on recuts. Jan Asplund will explain why and how we ever learned how to synthesis diamonds and will also try to straighten out and correct some of the misunderstandings and errors that has been published on the subject from the 1950s until today.
We also do hope Mr Scarani and Mr Åström will take this chance to present themselves and MAGIs products!

More information at sgs/gemology.se and reservations are made at www.scangem.se

Do not miss this opportunity to learn from the top names in the trade. Registrations are coming in steadily and number of tickets to saturday dinner are slowly getting scarce. Just 15 left as of today's date.

Sounds great! I've got to be somewhere the 17th and the 21st so that fits, right? Bring on the allemansrätten!
