not sunstone.

I'm repeating myself, but you can't directly guess the stone, indeed if you don't first try to solve the two small riddles contained within the riddle (read my previous post), then you won't be able to guess the stone name.

Excusez moi?
We are not exactly a bunch of turnips. This is not an easy riddle.

The lunatic Legion( which means "we are many') cut himself with stones( gonna guess bloodstone in keeping with the times) certainly did fall-right off a cliff. That could be first riddle. I'll try bloodstone.

not bloodstone.

The meaning of the second part of the riddle is probably easier to guess than the first.

when I said it's almost child's play, that was to say that the logic behing it is kind of straightforward, and that you're probably all overthinking it and thus missing the 'obvious'. C'mon you bunch of vegetables!

It could be alexandrite or spinel, though garnet is been used since ancient times but my guess is Aquamarine.

it's not alexandrite, not spinel, not garnet, not aquamarine

Let me help:

I am many, dragging the past along in our fall,
= what does this make you think of? (you need to guess something that matches this image)

I am one, keeping future into a cycle.
= what does this make you think of? (again, the answer is a single word, and this one is easier to guess)

Once you find those two keywords, you will certainly understand what stone is related to both. But you first need to get the keywords right.

A geosynclinal subduction zone.

you're wrong, but that's only because you look at things with rocks in your mind. Think of very simple things that literrally match each description, and that anyone could think of.

I think the thing that makes it hardest is that these are not phrases - the English is just wrong:

"I am many, dragging the past along in our fall"
our? fall

Dragging the past along in our fall (lower case), sounds like
"We didn't start the fire, it's been always burning since the world was turning"

advice in my previous post should help. Also, for each of the two riddles, it might help to visualise things.

I'll rephrase it.

"My armies fall with time in tow,
The past is past when they are done.
Alone I beat a clear tempo,
the future listens as I hum."

Not as far off as you would think actually.
