What kind of setting do you envision for this gem?
For some reason, when it look at it, I imagine it set in a sort of peacock design to put the cut and color to good advantage!
Good idea Tygurrr-I!
I'd been thinking of something with an Egyptian theme (hard not to when the design is called "Cleopatra's eye ) but a peacock would suit it as well.
Come to think of it, at 11 mm it's too large for the peacock design I have designed in my mind, lol. Unless, of course, you could find a very flamboyant customer, which is not unheard of. I once cut a twenty or so carat ametrine in a cushion barion for a male hairdresser in NYC ...to wear as a pinky ring! However, you could even certainly design an 'object d'art' with that stone as part of a peacock feather

Hi Guys!,
It has been ages since I have been on and everyone is cutting so many awesome gems! Lefty, that Christinite is amazing and Gene's Afghan Tourmaline 3.5ct concave cut is just stunning. I might as well share a stone which I recently finished. It is a lovely golden yellow sapphire from Willows in Central Queensland. Weighs in at 4.11ct.
Just finished this one up yesterday, a Sapphire from Umba Tanzania. 2.530 ct. The design is a new one I came up with for this stone. 80 index. This is the 'test' cut for the design.

Very nice yellow there Jamie! I'm cutting what looked like a very nice blue for a mate from his old lease near Reward- bright blue down the c-axis and a very pale sea-ice green through the cross. But there was a big feather of silk hiding in there I didn't see at first - gonna have to tell him it will probably need heat treatment to save it's life
Beautiful design there Gene! I must get myself an 80 index gear.
Aussiejamie that is a real stunner! Precision Gem, I'm never sure which is more impressive, your cutting or your photography. What a lovely sapphire! Maialetto, I love those topaz in particular. It is amazing how well they can come up. Have you found much of a market for these natural lighter blues? I always hope that there's some appreciation for the untreated blues in the market but I also know I'm not a typical customer.
