A 26.27 carat white diamond was bought 30 years ago for $15 at a flea market supposed as an imitation jewelry ring and now is expected to fetch about $454,000 when it is auctioned by Sotheby's next month.
We should look more for bargains on flea markets ....

It would be great to try to find the original vendor and cut them a check for $10,000. after the sale goes through. Might be a life changing gesture for both parties.

Marlow made me think......not everyone is generous...and I'm not talking about Marlow. If you were to track down the original owner, they may feel entitled to MORE than the $10,000.

yes humans are greedy
there was a study where 100 $ were offered to one guy if he shares 20 $ with another unknown. mostly these deals did not work out because of the second wanted more then 20 $ mostly the half. This is why people are unlucky, they don´t take the 20 bucks as they are for free, and want always more and rather break this deal then taking the 20 bucks... unlogic greedy humans....
