Experts say this material is as good or better than Muzo. Only about half needs oil where almost all Muzo is oiled. https://www.jckonline.com/editorial-art ... 3ff9d-3342

I’ve seen really nice stones from Ethiopia. However, to say one deposit is better than another deposit may be too far reaching. I think it’s best to evaluate stone quality on an individual basis as all deposits will represent a wide range of qualities.

That's true, all the deposits, have wide range of qualities...

Here an Emerald from the Emerald Mines of Chivor, Colombia.

2.16 and 3.69cts, sadly the big buyers have moved in and my supplier was pushed out. I am hearing production volume has dropped off which is opposite of what the article suggests

Just starting to get color from our prospect in Ethiopia. This small lot should arrive next week. From 0.5 gram to around 2 gram. Hey, it is a start....

Colorwise, could emeralds from both locations (Ethiopia and Colombia) be confused ? Generally speaking of course.

Usually, the Colombian Emeralds, have pure green or bluish green hues. Emeralds from other places, may show brownish green or grayish green hues.
