I would like to ask for your Help and Opinions.
Color, hue, saturation. I had never worked before with ruby cabs.
I have found this Ruby Cab and Diamond Ring, I attached some pictures.
Ruby Cab 9.30cts. Old diamonds 5.10cts. Mounted in 14K Gold. As much as I know I think that could be an estate ring from 1940.
Greatly appreciate your advice!
I attached some pictures in different light conditions
Thanks in advance!!!

A ring from 1940 would be very unlikely to feature mine-cut diamonds unless they were reset from an earlier piece as a custom design.

Does the ring have any stamps, maker's marks, hallmarks, etc?

Take a close look at the ruby with the microscope. Look for blur filling flashes.
The casting on the shank is a little sloppy. Note the flashes in the open work. A piece done mind-century in the US would have been cleaned up.

Dear Barbra,
First of all, thank you for your invaluable help. I take my plane back to Europe this week, and as always here it is difficult to take the pieces to a reputable laboratory, the nearest is in Mumbai (GIA), but I´m quite far.
I think you're right in that they have redesigned the ring by taking advantage of old cut diamonds from other older pieces, it's usually a common practice in these countries.
The ring is mounted in 14K Gold and the ruby colour is amazing.
I´ll take the ring with me to Geneva where I´ll be next 10th of May and profit the Gemgenéve show to certificate it with AGL or SSEF that they will attend the show.
I´ll update to all of You with the results.
Thanks for your Help as always!!!
Anabell

Actually, I suspect the ring is an Indian reproduction.

Dear Barbra,

As promised I update with the GIA certificate that I included for the ruby cab ring- The only problem was that at the fair they couldn´t certify the origin because of the mounting.
Thanks for your Help.
Best regards
