Just bought a light box, bottom lighted, leds on the top front & rear, 20 leds per strip, still experimenting with adjusting item for best results-steve...

Looks like you are significantly under exposed. Do not depend on the camera's auto exposure, go to manual mode. What camera are you using?

Properly photographing gemstones and jewelry is very challenging. You need to learn your camera, have a well designed lighting scheme, and be able to do at least minor post processing.
