I spotted this oddity in a series of auctions for purple tourmaline on Ebay. All of them were that indigo-violet tone that I've come to associate with unheated Mozambique material that Bruce has discussed on his blog. While those are rare enough, I did a double-take when I saw this colour changing crystal. The tone and shift is an exact match for the emerald cut Laurellite shown on this blog post!

Hi Barbra:
All out of RI fluid. Expensive. My Great Dane knocked it over with his tail a few weeks back, while it was open. Luckly I was there. I'll give you a link to the video of the Green Zircon.
I probably could go over to my good friend who is a jeweler/GIA Gemologist for over 30 years, & have him take a reading if you like?
It it a top specimen. No haze, lots of dispersion & life. Probably the best one I've had. I've had many. If you are further interested, please message me.
