Fwiw….
When I began faceting, I followed the suggestions of others and got a Belomo 10x loupe. It’s an excellent optic for the money, but [for me] it has a handling factor that can be a nuisance at times. For decades in another endeavor I used a Behr loupe, so I tried it with faceting and it is joy. It works best with metal frame glasses and can be adjusted to fit most of the temple shapes. Once adjusted, the lens can be pivoted into position to check meets or polish, or out of view with a nudge. My old eyes also need a lower powered bump, so I use the Behr in conjunction with a Megaview headband loupe and there is no conflict between the two devices. And I prefer the Mega’s because they are lightweight and quite comfy, and don’t block peripheral vision.

When I cut diamonds I use 2.5X readers and a 15X corrected loupe. I have tried the optics you recommend and consider it inferior to what I settled on.

When I cut, I use 2.5 or 3x readers under a DX10 Optivisor. When I get to full detail, I also turn the Optivisor monocle inline. That works extremely well on 2-3 mm stones.
