I'm wondering if anyone has some go-to designs or styles of cutting/carving to show off interesting inclusions or phenomena In a stone. I guess the 'classic' crown would be a large table and a few skinny tiers of steps to act as a frame. What other creative takes do people like.

What spurred me to ask is this piece of Aquamarine I had noticed some interesting con-/de-structive interference colours coming off of. I ground a bit of a flat on top, and lo and behold this immunologically activated astrocyte looking thing came into view, and I was hoping I could preserve it in the end product.

You just invent a cut that displays the inclusion(s) well, like this quartz with hollandite sprays on a phantom.

This instagram account has loads of inclusion quartz, but this triangle stands out for the multiplying effects that the triple reflection allows, which can also be seen in the attached image below.

I'ld go with the same sort of angles you see in "bubble" and optic dish type cuts if working with large inclusions.

This though, maybe you could treat it like a twinning plane? But it's a crack waiting to breach the surface, right? :?
