Everyone told me that this stone is a tourmaline. I’ve cut the stone, I had realised that the stone contained bauxite. This stone keeps getting attracted to magnets. In this picture it looks brown but if I put under sunlight it is greenish orange.
It changes colour from blue, green, gold and rose gold.

I have some questions and ideas about identifying this stone I have discovered. I have did some experiments and observations which I have did my research about the stone I think this could be. I used my own initiatives on what this stone could be due to the structure and even my knowledge on the stones I previously discovered. I have done my observations but I cannot figure out what this could be so I have done a conclusion.

The conclusion that I have discovered is that this stone could be a tourmaline due to the fact that this stone contains a lot of bauxite. When a stone contains bauxite the stone starts to become magnetic as it has a magnetic field. The stone gets the brownish colour from this ore which gives this stone a rose gold/copper appearance when it is under a light source.

The appearance of this stone alone is almost black but when you look at it in person the colour is brown and has more of the shades of greenish orange hues and tones. This shifts when it is transferred into light as it becomes more blue, green, gold and rose gold.

If anyone can help me understand this stone and help me identify this stone it will help me massively because I want to understand this more. Thank you I am looking forward to the responses.

I am not sure, but if you said bauxite it could be some zultanite/diaspor, for which the colorchange is possible.

How was bauxite identified?

The color change is hard to quantify, as your skin changes color as well.

Your pictures seem to indicate that the stone has been cut into a thin rectangular slice.
Why?

Can you supply us with any other information?
Specific gravity?
Refractive index?
Polariscope reaction?
Dichroscope reaction?

Thanks.
