3rd attempt to post!
Can anyone identify the stones in my Grandmother's necklace, allegedly from the Himalayas?
Any information gratefully received.

It's a type of jasper with fossil shells in it. Sometimes called arabic writing stone or coquina jasper. It is a fairly common material, not from the himalayas as far as I know.
