Oops Duncan...I was confused. I saw the copied link in Dor's post with no image attached. Everything is OK.
again I am causing problems ?
well,if i am already here, I will post something... my recent creation- Natural sapphire (nigeria) 0.74ct finished (cut from very flat 3ct rough piece) this was actually the first attempt for me to cut corundum. I was prepared for a "polishing nightmare" on the ceramic ,but luckily i haven't find the need for using it... just cut with 1200,follow by solid long prepolish on the Batt ,and than a touch with 50k on the corian and that's it. happy with the result.

Very nice stone, Dor. Really exemplifies the "crisp"/sharp angles that you only see with precision faceting. Also looks like a good candidate (ie low risk) for heat treatment, what with how clean it looks inclusion-wise

Thanks. honestly, I couldn't determine if the rough was already heated or not. no intact silk so even if it wasn't heated i cannot be 100% sure about it. it is very clean,as you said, VS-VVS I will say,you can find very small inclusions under 10x and closer. eye clean. i do have a few bigger pieces from the same source, and i am keeping myself from cutting them so far... i want to gain a bit more experience as a cutter before i am messing with very expensive stones.

This is probably the prettiest chalcedony I've ever cut. A decently-sized chrysoprase from Tanzania I picked up at a local show last year. This one has very good translucency (and a section with interesting dendrites, left in the original rough piece) and it turned out better than expected (rough is shown at both sides of the cut stone). The pavillion can actually reflect some light and makes the stone GLOW green.

Sanidine (‘orthoclase’) feldspar from Itrongay, Madagascar (https://www.mindat.org/loc-2273.html). The 26.19 ct stone is 19 mm wide. The yellow colour in the reflection is closer to the true body colour of the stone. One side of the crown is very close to the perfect cleavage and facets on that quarter refused to polish on a Greenway™ or a Lightside™ lap, so I had to resort to polishing them on a wax lap. On such a large stone the slight rounding of the facet edges is not noticeable.

Nice K-spar there. I'm always amazed at how clean/clear those Madagascar ones are...
This is another glow-ey stone, but for a different reason than the chrysoprase. Ce:YAG
Nice cutting!!
I got an emerald cut chunk of this and it is something else... serious fluorescence!

Swirly lavender quartz...
Almost there, but not quite. I need to add some tweaks... My choice was for a "clean" cutting diagram, but that went at expense of the reflections pattern more than expected.
Some highlights from recent production. Thanks Stephen for explaining how to downsize my pictures, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to computers.

1ct Cuprian Andean Opal, I'm oh-so in love with this material
Glad to see more of your beautiful work! It's true, it's hard not to fixate on the opal. That material seems to fly off the shelves--I kept finding dealers who were flat sold out in Tucson.

No surprise there, even my crappy piece brightens up considerably when in yellow light. It's definitely the cabbing material of choice this year. Ephsea those are some amazing photos of cabs on your instagram.
