Beryllium heated blue sapphires - how much less are they appraised at compared to the regular heated blue sapphires? And how unpopular and harder to sell on the market are they again compared to the regular heated stones? Thank you.

Farshid, please explain your grading and valuation method in greater detail. Thanks.
Well at first i was going to but it's complicated, it is different in ruby and orange Sapphire and blue Sapphires, the. Beryllium diffusion process (Color induced by lattice diffusion from an external source ) is expensive and for bigger sizes it takes more than a year! Some Thai and Asian markets trade Be diffusion at very high prices but in Western it's not popular. There are lots of factors for pricing and can't make a general guide out of it, so here is one example for decent color clarity 5 carat Blue Natural Sapphire if wholesaler asks from $8000 to $10000 per carat then for the similar but traditional heated one can be find around $2000 to $4000 per carat, if it has residues more than moderate then price is bellow $1000 per carat and the Be Diffusion would be at range of $500 per carat, but again this is not a general idea of pricing, that's why i said the price should be less than heat with significant residues.
Well, nobody buys the beryllium heated sapphiers because they are what they are, the point is to provide the jewelry industry with cheap-ish blue gems so that they can sell sapphire-looking stuff to less wealthy crowds and increase their market share.
Be heating really is an interesting animal. Sometimes it adds color, sometimes it just help take it away. We don't usually mind the latter, and that's apparently all that happens with blue sapphires. So I can see some people minding it less in this case, I guessm
