Emerald, 2.48ct

How, in your opinion, could be worth the emerald alone?

Incredibly difficult to tell from a picture:
1) is it natural or synthetic? (looks like it could be synthetic to me.)
2) How sure are you it even is an emerald?
3) is it treated?
4) do you know the origin of the stone?

Why don't you check the price tag?

It is natural I'm quite sure..., why does it seem syntetic for you?

2) How sure are you it even is an emerald?
Is a reputable jewelry store

3) is it treated?
The jeweler says no. I'm not sure it ins't oiled, but with eye the stone has no visible cracks

4) do you know the origin of the stone?
Should be Colombian of Muzo

I have checked of course!

But, of course, I have no idea of what prices could be found on the market, and I have seen only a very little specimens of emerald...while I think many of the people here on the forum have seen thousand of them.

So I think my question could have an answer, how much could be worth from min to max in your opinion this stone?

I have checked some sites...

https://www.africagems.com/calibrated-gemstones.html

I have watched the emeralds, I am really shocked!

Also the most expensive (https://www.africagems.com/emerald-emer ... 07315.html) 7,90 carats for 70.000$ has a lot of surface inclusion... I dont' have a better term ... It has a lot of visible little "stripes", at least on the photo.
How much are these "imperfections" eye visible?

Also from this site, that I think is reputable, they have visible imperfections:
https://www.jamesallen.com/gemstones/gr ... Price+desc

From this site also:
https://www.israel-diamonds.com/product ... 45198.aspx

And at last here:
https://www.leibish.com/emerald-gemston ... =pricedesc

In this last site, for example, a Zambian 2.36 ct for 50.000$ has very very little imperfections but ALL the colombians have much more imperfections.

So the question is:
the emerald I have posted could really be a syntetic Colombian ???

What we "think" is not the issue.
If you want to identify and value a stone, posting a picture on a website is not the way to go about it.
The ring should be submitted to a reputable lab for positive identification and level of treatment if appropriate.
Once we have a lab report to view, the next step would be to define the market and location for valuation and assemble comps for THAT specific market.

Once you can submit a lab report, we will talk again. Until that time, there is nothing we can do for you.

Ok, but first of all if I had a reputable Lab certificated in my hands I would not need to post a lot of questions

I really think that I will request a certificate in the future, but is costs much both in money and time and stress... It coudl be a good "investment" if my stone value is really high... But how much high? So, how much could it be valued it is natural? (So again I'm at the first question)

Please, don't post again until you can submit a lab report.
Are we clear?

One more thing. If this ring is being offered for sale, it is the seller's responsibility to provide documentation.
Ask them to get a lab report.

I agree with Stephen's reply in another thread.
Why are you really here?
