Ugly stone from Madagascar

I get great fun from ugly highly included stones when I look at them under the microscope.
I recently bought an assortment of ugly stones sold as a sampling of Madagacar "gems". This is a "blue quartz". According to dr. Google, the blue is celestine, I assume this is the blue blobs, but what are the star shaped crystals?
