First off thanks to Barbra Voltaire, FGG for having me in GemologyOnline. I am not a gemologist, just a gemstone inclusions enthusiast.
So I got an old ring with star ruby cabochon with a weak star and was "peeking" inside the stone. The stone's surface are worned with patches of small cavities here and there . By the way I'm using a soldering digital "microscope", which microscope experts said it probably tops to 90x optical zoom and image resolution of 640x480p, so I hope you would excuse me for the low quality images.
I saw this whitish worm-like with ridges along it's length at the rightmost of the image below that I have never saw here and in other ruby inclusion picture galleries (Lotus, GIA, GRS, AIGS, etc).

Any idea what is that "thing"?
Other than that "thing" there is a cluster of short straight needles, image bellow:

A stand alone needles, images below:

Several black inclusions similar to the black inclusion in the image below:

Any info on that "thing" would be appreciated. Thanks everyone! Hope you all have great day.
