I am the President of the Dallas Gem and Mineral Society. I have received a request to help find an apraiser to value a large collection as part of a divorce.

Rules here. I am not offering my services but looking for information to pass on to someone looking for help.

There are some valuable pieces.

I am not sure of the best way to help this person.

I think that the best way is for apraisers to send me a pm, and i will give them the contact details.

You are describing a very specialized assignment.
Most jewelry appraisers are not qualified to identify and value mineral specimens.

When I think of mineral specialists, the Larsons come to mind.

I would recommend contacting them and ask if they can recommend someone in Texas
