I have a good quantity of uncut-unpolished stones, Garnets, Ruby, smoky-quarse, Amatiste and Emeralds; they were cleaned from all dirt but the Garnets still have a thin rocky-film around. Is there a way to remove this?

Another thing..I want to sell them (not in Ebay), I know the price will be lower but I want to develop it as a side $$ entry, hopefully can develop.

Does any one could refer me to some one please?

Cleaning:

1. Hold in hand and grind off the outer crust.

2. Tumbling is another way, especially for smaller stones. Just check often so you don't remove too much of the good parts!

Good luck.
