Hello everybody! I'm here for the first time and I hope you'll help me. Who can advice me good web-sites or articles about differences between sinthetic and natural emeralds (possibly with photos of inclusions). Thank you very much!
Thank you for your replay. It's interesting and this information is generally known. But I meant that maybe somebody has some specific data/photo about sinthetic and natural emeralds. As I know it's not very easy to distinguish them even with microscope. I'll be gratful if somebody knows any "secrets" of this wonderful stone and what is possible to recognize just with loupe?

You might try Gem Interest. It's in French, but if you go to "Gemmes", choose "E", then look at "Emeraud" (including the synthetics), you will get several good pictures of the typical inclusions.
Same thing if you click on "Inclusions" and then "E", and then choose the various "emeraud" ( emerald, treated emerald and synthetic emerald).
thank you, I visited the sites you adviced me. Although I don't speak french it was interesting to see those photos of synthetic emeralds. Pity there are few... But my example is emerald with many small 2-phase inclusions and something looks like veils... I can't understand if it's synthetic or not...
