The seller says this rough is estimated 219,000 dollars, but he is giving us a lowered price as the starting bid. Oh, well...at least he accepts returns.

I wish making money in the gemstone business could be this easy. I know, I know. It is IF those stones sell, and IF the buyers pay and are very happy with the stones. Then my humble stash of roughs may be worth a fortune.
BTW, I want to propose a new category of sports to the Olympic committee. It is called “gemnistics”. In addition to the regular gymnastics, the gemnists are required to identify and appraise stones, but misleading those clueless people with wishful prices results in a major point deduction.

i need to figure out how to do the shorter link thingamajig, too. even though alberto tried to explain it in one of my previous post, i'm clueless on "actually doing it."
amguy, i don't see a color change, nor a color shift in that darn so-called color change garnet. like you said=purple to purple?! this guy has gotta be fruitloops to think anyone would pay that price for that garnet.

Hi, gingerkid,
Making a short link is easy. When you write a post, click URL and shows up in your message box. Change it to . You copy and paste the regular long URL in place of X without any space. Then, for example Y, type in any short name in place of Y and click URL to close it. This, Y, should show a clickable short name in the post.

gonna set this post in faves so when i have one of those dreaded long links, i'll give it a whirl, see if i can get it posted, and try not to drive alberto crazy with those long links anymore.
