Here is a laboratory grade lamp house and power supply with a Xenon arc lamp and a power supply that can drive all kinds of cool lamps.
This lamp house is suitable for spectroscopy and microscopy both. It is a current model and as it sits would sell for thousands of dollars.
A real ebay steal. Xenon arc light is the best artificial source there is.

Albè, what lightsource do you have now for your new set-up?
i've bought this nice one on Massa's adivce
it's a deutherium-halogen source capable of a full range 190-850 Nm wavelenght spectrum. it should allow me to get interesting infos in the SW range. neverthless the setup is not complete yet, still int. sphere missing and i'm struggling with the few space on my desk..(do you remember ?) to arrange all that gears & fiber optic cables...

Oops my bad! It may need minor repair. But I have an example of the power supply in my collection. But the auction piece probably will require a little fixing. On the other hand it could be simply a worn out lamp that does not want to start. That is why I started watching it. If I could steal it for about $25 I'd be tickled.
