This kind of thing makes me feel a bit sick - especially when there are safes containing great real sapphire all round the place.
They are actually being pretty up-front about saying it is diffused but calling it a "FASCINATING HI-END BOUTIQUE INVESTMENT SRI-LANKA GEM" is misleading to a buyer who doesnt know what diffusion really means. The frustrating thing is that the buyer will probably get the stone, it will look pretty good and they might honestly think they got a bargain when that is not the case.
I suppose next we will all need to buy diffussed to get the best. Some people will say that these kinds of teratments are ok because the market demands them but I have got a real problem with this.
