Its great to be here in this forum.
I am a Lapidarist based in the gem capital of India - Jaipur.
Well I am also involved in manufacturing budget equipment for almost all lapidary operations.
I am thrilled at the innovation of concave faceting. I am providing custom cutting services in this field. I have a feeling that the "concave" revolution has only just begun. There is a lot one can do with this style of cutting and amazing results can be achieved. Sky is the limit for development in this field.
I will soon be posting a few pictures of what I have done in concave faceting - would be very happy to receive comments from this forum.
feel very good to be here

I too enjoy SOME of what concave faceting can bring to the gemstone market... like many "innovations" however, too much of it can create something truly unpleasant.
Welcome to the forum! One thing I noticed about the concave faceting results is it does not have that sparkle of regular faceted stones when one tilts them back and forth. Usually the pavilion facets are long, right? I wonder if you could cut a pavilion with many facets like a regular faceted stone, but concave? But I know concave faceting is much more involved than regular faceting.
