Barbra,

Thank you for the gemnotes research studies information.
I particularly enjoyed the polycrystalline diamond short paper and the unheated yellow sapphire with misleading inclusions.
Fascinating!

Can someone supply me with Thomas Hainschwang's mailing address in Leichtenstine?
I need to send him one of my Alexandrite and Color Shift Filters.

:-k :smt102 If someone wants to research where the site is, or isn't, that would be useful.

Someone wants to give me the complete URL or DNS and I'll do it.

I think simply telephoning the lab when it's open would be an excellent idea.

Thanks Danielle,

One gets this if the site is pinged:

Not necessarily a problem at GemLab. More likely some bad crash at whoever hosts their server.

The information Owen posted above is for gemtechlab.ch.
http://www.gemtechlab.ch is functional, but it is not the site we are referring to.

re: gemlab.net:
The site doesn't appear to be down, as going to gemlab.net returns a 403 (forbidden error) as opposed to a 500 (server error) or a page not found. I pinged the site, and was getting packets back so I'm pretty sure it's not down.

So...if someone would kindly place a phone call, it would be appreciated.

Hi Barbra and Kerensky ,

I'm sorry Kerensky : yesterday at night , I have posted the adress of gemtechlab and after I have deleted my post ... this it is not the site of Thomas Hainschwang .

I have written to the electronic adress I've read on This page : maybe shall I receive an answer ?

Recently I read some articles of him , which mention the adress of gemtechlab ...
I read also that he is actually preparing a doctorat in Nantes and has let his site for a while . So his mail adress seems to be the only way for entering in relation with him .

* I have also found a new address , very promising : Gemmoscience : Multidisciplinary Scientific Group for Gemological Research

Hoping it will help you ...
Have a good day !

* Concerning the Gemlab's address , note here :
owner-name: Gemlab Gemologisches Laboratorium Est.
  organisation: Gemlab Gemologisches Laboratorium Est.
  person: Thomas Hainschwang
  address: Landstrasse 193
  zipcode: 9491
  city: Ruggell
  country: Liechstenstein
