I didn't see this until just this morning, but it was a great birthday. I spent the evening going through Oceanview mine tailings that my wife brought home :D

Always appreciated Steve!

I generally prefer not to cut material from our local area mines. Nothing I have is particularly high quality, its simply fun and somewhat sentimental since it is from 15 min down the road :lol:

That being said, I did get one really clean piece of transparent spodumene with just the slightest blue tint that I might send to a friend for her to cut. I'll post pics of the result if that occurs.

I have a blue spodumene. It's been in the back corner of my safe in a black envelope for years. I bring it out once a year to make sure it's still blue.
