Alan Hodginkson passing

Post by Debbie K »

The author of probably the best gem identification book ever has passed away. He was a very sweet man and will be sorely missed. Link to his Facebook page which has the announcement: https://www.facebook.com/GemTestingBook

I'm sorry I never got to meet him, but he still left quite an impression.

He came over to my house several years ago with Charlotte for a Gem Nerd candle light dinner. You guessed it (or not) we used the candles to perfect our visual optics skills.

I also had setups for many of Dr. Hanneman's instruments in the back bedroom.

A good time was had by all. :D
